A rolling basket’s job is to compact the ground behind your tillage pass and leave a proper seedbed. Leveling and breaking up remaining clumps are added benefits as it rolls.
We build every basket on round bar, not flat. Round bar (1″ DOM — drawn-over-mandrel — tubing) has strength in every direction and enough elasticity to flex back into shape. A flat bar has no side strength: once a rock wedges between the bars and spreads them, it stays wedged, rattles, and eventually breaks the welds.
This is the 10-bar version — our largest — putting the diameter at 15″, a step up from the 13.5″ of our 9-Bar Rolling Basket for Case. Like the 9-bar option, it’s a larger-diameter upgrade over Case’s stock flat or round bar, just with more diameter and more down-pressure still. Same roughly-4″ bar spacing as every basket we build — the extra bar is what it takes to cover the larger 15″ diameter.
We cap single-piece baskets at 75″ — going longer makes a basket more brittle and more likely to bend on contour ground. For Case machines wider than 75″, we build the 90″, 105″, and 120″ sizes as a two-basket kit joined by a center bracket instead of one oversized piece.
Field Notes
Keep operating speed under 9.5 mph. Speed is the single biggest factor in how long a basket lasts — running faster wears them out well ahead of schedule. This basket ships via freight carrier at every size, single baskets and kit sizes alike — we’ll coordinate a delivery appointment with you.
In stock and ships fast from our Wisconsin warehouse — less time waiting on parts, more time in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this basket do any tilling, or is it strictly for compaction?
It’s for compaction — that’s the main job, building a proper seedbed behind your tillage pass. Leveling and breaking up leftover clumps is a secondary benefit, not the main one.
Why is this basket built with round bar instead of flat bar?
Round bar has strength in every direction, so a rock wedged between the bars can’t spread them the way it can on a flat bar. Flat bar has no side strength — once it starts to warp, it stays warped, rattles, and breaks welds.
My Case machine is wider than 75″ — can I still get one basket?
Not as a single piece — we cap single baskets at 75″ because longer ones get more brittle and bend more on contour ground. For 90″ to 120″ widths, we build a two-basket kit joined by a center bracket instead, so you get the coverage without one oversized, weaker piece.
What’s the difference between this and your 9-Bar basket for Case?
Diameter, mainly. This 10-bar basket is 15″ in diameter, a step up from the 9-bar’s 13.5″ — more diameter means more weight and more down-pressure per pass. Both are round-bar upgrades over Case’s stock flat or round bar.
How does this ship — parcel or freight?
This basket ships via freight carrier at every size, single baskets and kit sizes alike, and we’ll coordinate a delivery appointment with you.
What’s the fastest I can run this basket without wearing it out early?
Stay under 9.5 mph. Speed does more to shorten a basket’s life than anything else — that range (roughly 7.5–9.5 mph) is what vertical tillage machines are typically built for.
