TillXtreme basket bearing with 7 lip seals — most bearings run 3 to 4. 1 1/4″ square center hole, for the rolling basket on Great Plains, VT Kuhn Krause, and Case machines. Not a gang/blade bearing.

This is the TillXtreme version of our basket bearing — the Peer TillXtreme line we carry because of what we’ve seen in the field: it holds up season after season where off-brand bearings can fail in as little as two years. The difference is the seal count. A standard bearing runs 3 to 4 lip seals; TillXtreme runs 7, which keeps moisture and dirt out and grease in whether the basket is turning or sitting outside between seasons.

This bearing carries your rolling basket’s shaft, not the blade gang — a different job than a gang bearing does, with its own wear pattern. It fits Great Plains, VT Kuhn Krause, and Case rolling baskets with a 1 1/4″ square center hole. We also carry a standard-tier version of this bearing, confirmed as the matching pair, at the same fitment for a lower up-front cost.

Field Notes

A basket bearing wears differently than a gang bearing — it’s carrying the basket’s weight and rotation, not resisting side load from an angled gang. Watch for the same warning signs anyway: grinding, squeaking, or play when you rotate the basket by hand.

In stock and ships fast from our Wisconsin warehouse — less time waiting on parts, more time in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this bearing’s seal count (7 lip seals) matter?

Each lip seal is another barrier keeping moisture and grit out and grease in. Most bearings run 3 to 4. More seals means a basket bearing that survives sitting outside through the off-season instead of failing from moisture and dirt that got in while it wasn’t even turning.

Is this the same bearing that goes on the blade gang?

No — this one carries your rolling basket’s shaft. A gang bearing resists side load from the angled blades; a basket bearing supports the basket’s own weight and rotation instead.

What’s the difference between this and your standard basket bearing?

Lip seal count. This TillXtreme bearing runs 7 lip seals; our standard basket bearing runs fewer, at a lower price. Both are sealed at the factory with no grease schedule.

Does this fit Case rolling baskets?

Yes, along with Great Plains and VT Kuhn Krause — this bearing’s 1 1/4″ square center hole covers all three.
